Espace-Expression presents the exhibition Homage to Denise René. Past, Present and Future of a Vision, which will be open to the public from December 3, 2013, to March 29, 2014. The show is a tribute to Denise René (1913-2012), the gallery owner that opened the way to new trends in contemporary art.
In November 1944, Denise René founded in Paris an art gallery that became the center of the European artistic avant-garde. Thanks to her, Geometric Abstraction, Op Art and Kinetic Art emerged strongly in the fifties and sixties.
The exhibition Homage to Denise René brings together for the first time in Miami an outstanding display 80 works by 54 artists including Soto, Crespín, Heurtaux, David Bill, Anne Blanchet, Santiago Torres, Miguel Chevallier, Le Parc, Stein, Tinguely, Zimoun, Pe Lang, Agam y Cruz-Diez, among others.
The exhibition, which includes a variety of proposals of geometric abstraction and constructive art presents, among others, the work of Jesus Soto Penetrable BBL Bleu (1999) that belongs to Art&Art Collection.
